Waltraud Marthaler

Wally Marthaler, age 81, of Milaca, passed away on March 30, 2024.  A memorial mass will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca.  A luncheon will follow the service at the church.

She was born August 19, 1942 in Erlangen, Germany to the late Benedikt and Margareta Weber.  Wally was a proud mother to her son, William “Billy” Golden, and had a vibrant personality that left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Wally worked at Pioneer Metal Finishing in Minneapolis for 35 years, dedicating herself to her career.  She cherished her German heritage and made one last memorable trip to Germany with her best friend/sister, Ronda and daughter, Angel.  Wally was a larger-than-life individual who loved making memories with her closest friends and family.

She is survived by her brother, Dieter (Liane) Weber;  nephew, Joirg (Daniela) Weber;  niece, Sandra (Markus) Weber;  great-nephew, Kialin;  great-niece, Marlene and her dear friend, Ronda (Dan) and their children, Derick, Holly, Angel, Heidi and Daniel, along with many friends and relatives in Germany and Minnesota.  Wally was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and her beloved son, William John Golden.
