Theresa Clare Roehl, age 90, of Milaca, Minnesota, passed away on June 28, 2026.
Theresa was born on October 18, 1935, in Brockway Township, Stearns County to George and Agnes (Trutwin) Schlichting. She was the second born of nine children and grew up on the family farm near Opole, MN. Theresa attended country school near her home, and graduated from Holdingford High School. Following that, she lived and worked in Minneapolis for six years, before meeting and marrying her husband, Raymond Roehl, in 1958. She settled with Ray on the family farm near Foreston, where they raised eight children. Later, Theresa worked at the Milaca Elim Home for 20 years. She remained on the farm, where she enjoyed growing flowers, painting, playing piano and spending time with her family and friends. In 2022, Theresa moved to Milaca Elim Meadows Assisted Living.
Theresa’s faith was deep and abiding. She served her parish as a member of the St. Louis Christian Women, CCD teacher, one of the founding members of the annual Mission Bazaar, and a member of numerous prayer groups. In addition, she served as a leader of the local Deanery.
Theresa is survived by her children Michael (Mary) Roehl, Andrew (Judy) Roehl, Ann Roehl, Mark (Danielle) Roehl, Paul (Judy) Roehl, Steve Roehl, Mary (Tim) Mickelson, and Amy (John) Slagerman, as well as 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; her siblings Lorraine Warzecha, Delores (Dave) Czech, Marci Nelson, Jeanette (Larry) Brixius, John (Dianne) Schlichting, sister-in-law Linda Schlichting, and David (Debbie) Schlichting.
