Sydney Schlag

Sydney Rae Schlag, 36, went home to her Savior on September 11, 2026, surrounded by family, following a courageous and fiercely fought battle with Stage IV metastatic melanoma. Sydney was born November 2, 1989, in Princeton, MN, to Roger and Toni Clarin. She graduated from Milaca High School in 2008. After graduation, Sydney worked for several years as a Culinary Chef and Director of Food Services. In her free time, Sydney enjoyed being outdoors: fishing, hunting, trail riding, and most of all, time spent with family.

Sydney is survived by her husband, Jessy; children Emmett Roy, Isabel Jolyn, and Oliver Leon; parents Roger and Toni Clarin; siblings Melissa Knaffla (Justin), Savannah Talberg (Cody), and Levi Clarin (Kaity); grandmother Lorraine Clarin; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Sydney is preceded in death by her grandparents, Leon Clarin and Walt and Judy Applegarth.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11 AM at Milaca Alliance Church. Interment will follow at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11 AM at the church on Friday.
