Rose Mary (Swarm) Scharber, age 81, of Milaca, formerly of Big Lake and Foreston, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 15, 2021 at 11 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca. Visitation will take place from 9 – 11 AM at the church.
She was born October 11, 1940 to Edward and Mecie (Brown) Lange at Buffalo, MN. Rose graduated from Monticello High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Harley Swarm at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Monticello in October 1958. She worked at Spikes Bakery in Monticello, took care of her sibling and raised a family of six. Rose later worked at Gorecki’s in Milaca, Milaca Mills and Machine and Tools in Milaca. She loved parties, taking care of people, fishing, playing cards, bowling, hunting, helping around the Senior Dining Center and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Harley (Carla) Swarm of Coon Rapids, Ralph (Char) Swarm of Ramsey, Kathy (Bill) Vanden Berg of Ogilvie and Foreston, Vivian (Lee) Cramer of Foreston, Lisa Swarm of Monticello, Shari (Howard) Bixby of Ogilvie, Steve (Wendy) Scharber of Princeton and Rick (Beverly) Scharber of Milaca; grandchildren, Desiree Gipp II of Coon Rapids, Breanna (Chris) Hoffman of Anoka, Matthew Swarm of Coon Rapids, Eric Swarm of Ramsey, Wesley Vanden Berg of Ogilvie, Sonja Vanden Berg of Ogilvie, Jessica Cramer of Bemidji, Melissa (Randy) Walker of Foreston, Michael Stohl of Foreston, Mark Sether of Foreston, Ruth Couture of Foreston, Ann Bixby of Ogilvie, Cody and Hannah Bixby of Ogilive Karen Bixby of Ogilive, Austin Chaika of Milaca, Michael Scharber and Linda Erickson; great-grandchildren, Flin Gipp, Abigail Hoffman, Ramaius Walker, Maujai Walker, Harley Walker, Vanessa Walker, Cameron Walker, Qadir Walker, Randi Walker, Arrow Stohl, Haivyn Hillyer, Kydin Hillyer and Baby June bug; siblings, Cleo Stromberg of St. Croix Falls, WI, Violet Negus of Elk River and Linda Jordan of Milaca; special friends, Tracy Stohl, Larry Parrish and Jim and Vickie Palmquist and Loren Scharber and many more; also by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Harley Swarm and Arnold Scharber; brothers, Edward “Sonny”, Hank, Fred, Woody and Mike; sister, Anna Mae; grandchildren, Lisa Marie, Bridget Scharber Couture and Janette Scharber and relative, Marlene Remarke.
