Rose Cecelia Pedersen

Memorial service for Rose Pedersen, age 92, will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 1 PM at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Malmo.  Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the church on Saturday at the church.  Interment will follow at Malmo Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred to Milaca Elim Care and Rehab Center.  Rose passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Milaca Elim Home.

Rose Cecelia Young was born on June 16, 1925, in St. Cloud, MN. She attended parochial school and graduated from St. Cloud Tech high school, where she was a member of the girls' varsity basketball team.

Rose married Harland Pedersen in 1945 in San Francisco, while he was stationed there. They moved back and forth to California a few times before settling in Malmo, MN. Rose was employed at the REA for many years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, quilting, and making lefse.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers, and son Steven, and son-in-law Chuck Vraa. Left to cherish her memory are two sons, their spouses, one daughter, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
