Roger Gene Freyholtz

Visitation for Roger Freyholtz, age 76, of Milaca, will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 from 3 – 5 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Private burial will take place at Borgholm Cemetery near Bock at a later date.

Roger Gene Freyholtz was born August 30, 1941 to Daniel and Maud (Fortner) Freyholtz in Hines, MN. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Gustafson on July 9, 1971 in South Dakota. Roger has owned and operated Freyholtz Auto Salvage since 1971. He loved antique cars and going to car shows and demolition derbies. He passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina.

Roger is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, Danny Freyholtz of Milaca; stepdaughter, Stacy (Roger) Knutson of Milaca; grandchildren, Austin Freyholtz, Mellisa (Chris) Murphy, Kimberly (Steven) Carter, Kayla Knutson, Nicholas Knutson and Cassandra (Kevin) Bruns; great-grandchildren, Paige, Carson, Adrian, Sophia and Liam; sister, Irma Kellerman; brothers, Harvey, Maynard, Marvin, Dennis and Gene; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, David and great-grandson, Nolan Freyholtz.
