Richard Jerome Duffert

Richard Jerome Duffert, age 78, of Milaca, passed away peacefully July 16, 2022 at Saint Cloud Hospital surrounded by his loving family. 

A celebration of Richard's life will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 from 3 - 6 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.

Richard Duffert was born June 23, 1944 in Saint Paul, Minnesota to Jerome H. and Donna (Chandler) Duffert.  In his youth, he lived in Saint Paul and Wisconsin working on farms.  Richard worked at various companies as a truck driver for fifty years.  He retired and moved to Milaca.  Richard was united in marriage to Bonnie Ann Anderson on December 05, 1964.  They were blessed with six children; Ronda, Bobby, Shane, April, Brenda, and Christie, and lovingly adored by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Richard’s favorite pastimes were fishing, watching his sports, picnics and BBQ with family and friends.  He always had a pot of coffee on, loving visits and good conversations and looking forward to the moment to use his one liners.

Richard is survived by his children, Christie Duffert, April (Tom) Merten, Ronda Thorson, and Shane Duffert; numerous other family and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years,Bonnie; his children, Brenda and Bobby; his grandchildren, Elisa and Amber; and parents.
