Funeral services for Rev. Arlan Koppendrayer, age 63, of Minnetonka, will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 11 AM at the Christian Reformed Church in Pease.  Interment will follow at the Pease Cemetery.  Visitation will take place from 5 -  7 PM Wednesday at the church and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.  

The family asked that all attending the service and visitation PLEASE wear a mask.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to TRINITY HILL CHURCH, PEASE COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, or AVAIL ACADEMY.

Arlan Koppendrayer: pastor, organic farmer, teacher, friend, preacher, husband, brother, uncle, and father. Arlan’s life reflected his deep passion for God’s agenda, ability to connect with others, and desire to tell us about the unwavering and sustaining love God has for people, His image-bearers.

Arlan Willis Koppendrayer, age 63, of Minnetonka, MN was welcomed into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior on December 24th, 2021.

Arlan was born on October 15, 1958 in Princeton, Minnesota  to Jake and Pearl (DeVries) Koppendrayer.  Arlan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Susan; his daughter Mattie, and sons Nathaniel, and Jacob. Also survived by six sisters and three brothers: Fran DeVries, LeRoy (Carolyn) Koppendrayer, Marian (Denny) Beier, Roger (Nancy) Koppendrayer, Pat (Dave) Gorham, Cindy Shmatz, Betsy (Richard) Wergin, Char DeKraker, Kevin (Mary) Koppendrayer; brother-in-law Don Knase, sisters-in-law Lyn (Rex) Hartman and Kathy (Tom) Quinn , father-in-law, John (Gail) Kaloyanides and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Pearl Koppendrayer; Marjorie Kaloyanides, sister Loni Knase, brothers-in-law John DeVries, Dick Schmatz, and Bill DeKraker.

Arlan was a graduate of Calvin Theological Seminary, and a minister of the word and sacrament in the Christian Reformed Church. During his 32 years of ministry, he was the founding pastor of Hope Fellowship (Courtice, Ontario, Canada) and Trinity Hill (Chanhassen, Minnesota).  He served as the senior pastor of West Leonard Christian Reformed Church (Grand Rapids, Michigan), and Zion Christian Reformed Church (Oshawa, Ontario, Canada), He also served the congregations of Hebron Christian Reformed Church (Whitby, Canada), and Bridgewood Church (Savage, Minnesota). Most recently, he was the owner of The Long Siding Farm, chaplain, Bible and history teacher and one of the founding faculty members, of Calvin Christian High School (now Avail Academy).
