Ray Edward Keehr

Mass of Christian Burial for Ray Keehr, age 82, of Blaine, formerly of Milaca will be held Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Foreston with Father Joe Herzing officiating.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services at the church.  Interment will take place at Saint Louis Cemetery.   

Ray Edward Keehr was born June 28, 1937 in Morrison County, Minnesota to Earl and Florence (Brown) Keehr.  He grew up on his family farm.  On April 24, 1961 he was united in marriage to Lucille Broschofsky in Brennyville.  The couple resided in Morrison County before moving to Milaca Township where they farmed.  They spent a year and a half in Duluth before moving back to the Milaca area.

Ray enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with friends and relatives.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, relaxing, spending time watching old Western shows, and listening to Country Western music.

Ray passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019.

He is survived by his children, Rene (Russell) Hamman of Augusta, WI, Craig (Sharen) of Crystal, MN Curt (Patty) of Forest Lake, MN, and Clyde (Julie) of East Bethel, MN;  8 grandchildren, Cory and Jake Hamman, Lucas (Elaine), Logan, Nicole, Kyle, Reed and Allison Keehr; siblings, Mardell Starr, Ardyce Starr, and Betty Sauer; sister-in-law, Joyce Keehr; also other relatives and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille and siblings, Donald, Lucille, Lyle, and Minnie.
