Patricia D. Day

Memorial services for Patricia Day, age 72, of Milaca, will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 2 PM at Milaca United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pat was born November 1, 1945 to Gilbert and Doris (Stolson) Holton in Milaca, MN.  She grew up and attended school in Princeton.  She was united in marriage to John Day on August 6, 1983 at Milaca United Methodist Church.  Pat worked at Olson’s Super Valu and played softball for the Olson’s Super Valu team.  She loved horses, horseback riding, training and showing horses.  In the early years, Pat was a camp cook and cooked for trail rides. She was famous for her turkey on the Weber grill and for her coffee – you only had to ask for half a cup.  She also loved fishing, hunting, gardening, caring for her dogs and cats, and the Vikings and Twins.  She passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at her home.

She is survived by her husband, John;  daughters, Christine Jacobson, Johnna Schwindt and Kathy (Mark) Shipman; grandchildren, Sam Jacobson, Lucy Muller, Hannah Schwindt, Tyler Kuether, Zachary Kuether, Jordan Shipman and adopted granddaughter, Alyssa Humphreys and Kylie Muehring;  siblings, James Holton, Ronnie Holton, Rick (Anne) Holton, John Bergeron, Brian Bergeron and Joy Bergeron;  also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Doris;  parents-in-law, Raymond and Isabel Day and great-grandson, Nolan Freyholtz.
