Funeral services for Nathan Pollema, age 40, of Milaca, will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Milaca. Music will be provided Gerald Pollema (Uncle). Casketbearers will include Dan Pollema, Jon Pollema, Joe Pollema, Elliot Van Donsel, James Long, and Daniel Mays. Interment will follow at the Chase Brook Cemetery near Milaca. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Monday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and one hour prior at the church.
Nathan Scott Pollema was born April 25, 1979 in Milaca, MN to Julius and the late Virginia Pollema. Nate married Kari Evensen on June 2, 2012. They had one daughter, Abigail, and he loved her dearly. Nate was the owner of Central MN Truck and Auto. He loved to ride motorcycles and snowmobiles. He enjoyed the yearly Pollema family camping trip and loved to pull the nieces and nephews behind the boat on the tubes and throw them off. Nate loved Jesus and demonstrated so much grace and kindness to everyone he knew because he understood Jesus Christ as his source, his hope, and his life. He loved to spend time with his daughter, Abby (Babby), who was a joy to him. He loved her unconditionally. He also loved being an Uncle. He loved to spend time with each and everyone of them.
He is survived by his daughter Abby; father, Julius and stepmother, Kate of Milaca; siblings, Dan (Krissy) Pollema of Duluth, MN, Jon (Natalie) Pollema of Milaca, Julie (Elliot) Van Donsel of Milaca, Sarah (Daniel) Mays of Arlington Heights, IL, Debbie (James) Pollema Long Browerville, MN, and Joe (Tessie) Pollema of Oak Harbor, WA; also many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia, his brother, David, and his grandparents.
