Myra Mae Norrgard, age 96, of Milaca, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. Burial will follow at Wendell Hill Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Myra was born August 6, 1929 to Arthur and Emma (Lobitz) Villnow at home on the family farm near Princeton, MN. She grew up on the farm and baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Princeton. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to Elmo Norrgard in 1951 and they lived on the family farm southeast of Milaca. Myra worked in the County Nurses office and the office of the County Highway Department. She later worked in the Federal ASCS office. Myra was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca. She was active in the women’s groups and especially enjoyed the quilting group. She was a very good seamstress. She loved gardening and baking and will be remembered as a great cook. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She loved making Sunday dinner and her family will always cherish those days.

She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Rob) DeBoer; daughter-in-law, Julie Norrgard; grandchildren, Lisa (Troy) Hansen, Ryan (Jessica) DeBoer, Jared (Leslie) DeBoer, Trista Norragard (Justin Alain), Tracy (Nick) Wilkie and Tyler (Kelsey) Norrgard; great-grandchildren, Marcus Hansen, Talia Hansen, Kennen DeBoer, Ellaina DeBoer, Drayson DeBoer, Adeline DeBoer, Emilia DeBoer, Alexa Johnson, Camryn Johnson, Avery Wilkie and Byron Norrgard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmo; son, Byron; sisters, Joyce (Loren) Swenson and Janice Keen and brother, Dale (Lois) Villnow.
