Mike "Benny" Santema

Mike “Benny” Santema, age 52, of Milaca, MN passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in his home.  Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca at a later date.

Mike was born August 17, 1966 and lived in Milaca all of his life.  He graduated in 1985 from Milaca High School and went on to receive a Journeyman Electricians License from St. Cloud Technical College.  When Mike was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved watching sports, especially the MN Vikings, playing cards (Smear) at the “office”, and “treasure hunting” with friends.  Mike’s smile, laugh, and big heart will never be forgotten along with his one of a kind sense of humor.

Mike is survived by his parents, Harold and Marlys; sister, Lorna (Laura), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilly and Hattie Santema and Percy and Florence Deuel.
