Michael Rudolph Johnson

Funeral services for Mike Johnson, age 68, of Milaca, will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 11 AM at First Baptist Church in Milaca.  Interment will follow at Estes Brook Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM Tuesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Michael Rudolph Johnson was born February 27, 1950 to Rudolph and Vivian (Smallwood) Johnson in Princeton, MN.  He graduated from Milaca High School in 1968.  Mike served in the US Air Force from 1968 – 1970 during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Glenda Lester on September 12, 1970 at First Baptist Church in Milaca.  Mike retired from McPherson Product in Cold Spring, Minnesota in November 2018.  He was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Milaca.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and gardening.  But most importantly spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

Mike passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at his home in Milaca.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Glenda;  children, Melinda (Brad) Harrington of Buffalo and Travis (Jennifer) Johnson of Ogilvie;  grandchildren, Clara and Emma Harrington and Teagan and Jorie Johnson;  also by many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter on February 26, 1973;  his parents, Rudolph and Vivian Johnson and his parents-in-law, Floyd and Marvel Lester.
