With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mark Siemers. His life will be remembered through the family he loved, the friendships he treasured, and the many memories shared with those fortunate enough to know him.
Curtis “Mark” Siemers, 73, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born July 27, 1953, in Milaca, Minnesota, he was the proud son of Wayne and Shirley Siemers. Mark dedicated much of his life to helping build and grow Wayne Transports, Inc., continuing the legacy started by his father.
Mark was resourceful, meticulous, funny, and deeply devoted to his family. He loved fishing, racing snowmobiles, and taking on projects. With the help of close friends and with his own two hands, he built his family’s home, where their story began. Mark was known as one of the most multifaceted and talented men you could meet. He had a remarkable ability to take something simple and make it spectacular.
Mechanically, he was truly gifted and always eager to tackle the next project. He believed there was no problem that couldn’t be solved with a little ingenuity, a lot of persistence, and maybe one more trip to the hardware store. He was a man who rarely sat still, unless there was a fishing pole in his hand.
Some of Mark’s favorite moments were the simple ones: being around family, enjoying his mother’s famous pecan pie, and sharing a good joke. He could entertain a room full of people for hours with his charisma, quick wit, and impeccable comedic timing.
Above all, Mark treasured his family and the relationships he built throughout his life. He will be remembered not only for his many talents and accomplishments, but for the humor and love he brought to the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his sons, Cole (Bree) and Jess (Aleks), and their mother, Carol Siemers; his beloved grandchildren, Amelia, Kade, Aksel, Audrey, Grayson, Klaia, Reverie, and Weston; his loving partner, Pamela; and his siblings, Michael, Mary, Marlys, Wesley, and Diane.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Shirley Siemers; his uncle and namesake, Curtis Siemers; his nephew, Travis; his niece, Kelly; and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to a charity of your choice. And in keeping with Mark’s sense of humor, he would probably suggest sending the money to the IRS, as he always enjoyed paying taxes.
