Marie Bozych-Salgren

Marie Clara Bozych-Salgren, age 55, of Foreston, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marie’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milaca. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery in Foreston. Visitation will take place from 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with a rosary service at 7:45 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

Marie was born April 25, 1970 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Herbert and Pauline Bozych. She was the youngest in the set of triplets and grew up on a farm in Gilman, Minnesota, alongside her five siblings. She attended school in Foley, Minnesota, where she built lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

On June 1, 1996, Marie married the loved of her life, Victor Salgren, and together they raised four wonderful children. Marie dedicated 17 years of service to the St. Cloud VA, with her most recent job being a Financial Technician. Her compassion and diligence in her work made a lasting impact.

Marie’s greatest joy came from being a grandmother. She adored her grandchildren, Maren and Aspyn, and cherished every moment spent with them. Her love of animals, passion for crafting – especially crocheting – and her deep involvement in the Catholic Church were reflections of her generous and nurturing spirit.

Marie is survived by her husband, Victor Salgren of Foreston; children, Ashley (Evan) Moen of Blaine, Breanna (Jared) Loberg of St. Cloud, Zach Salgren of Foreston and Bryce Salgren of Foreston; grandchildren, Maren and Aspyn Moen; siblings, Dennis Bozych of Gilman, Dave Bozych of Sartell, Mike Bozych of Becker, Margaret Kantor of Sauk Rapids, and Mary Vance of Buffalo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Pauline Bozych; mother and father-in-law, Carl and Ruth Salgren, and sister-in-law, Mary-Jo Bozych.

Marie’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed.
