Karen Jerdin

Karen Patricia Jerdin, age 83, of Bock, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 12 – 4 PM at the Gorecki Community Center in Milaca.

Karen was born July 18, 1941 to Walter and Marie Stiernagle in Waseca County, MN. She graduated from Waldorf High School. She was united in marriage to Carl Edwin Jerdin on November 24, 1960. Karen was a baker at Milaca High School. She would take a huge rack of buns, after she baked them, down the hall to the elementary kitchen. It was always an awesome adventure for Karen. She would always talk to the kids on her way and come back with a funny story to tell. She always had the girls in the kitchen laughing. Karen came in every day with a joke of the day and she hid goofy things in peoples’ lockers. She made every day brighter with her sense of humor and her laughter. Karen loved her job and will be missed by all whose day she made a little brighter.

She is survived by her children, Todd Jerdin, Brenda Jerdin, Carla (Donnie) Humphrey and Clinton (Hope) Jerdin; ex-husband, Carl Jerdin; also by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffery Allen; sisters, Yvonne, Darlene and Judy and brothers, Jim and Emmett.
