He was born March 8, 1961 to Charles and Loretta (Simon) Coughlin in Owatonna, MN. Jim spent his life in service to others. One of his major accomplishments was acting as superintendent for the construction of the hospital in Princeton. He was a multi-talented craftsman. Jim’s workmanship could be found in Montana, Colorado, and all over Minnesota. He loved his family, his church, and his many friends in Milaca.
He is survived by his son, Adrian of Milaca; mother, Loretta Coughlin of Blooming Prairie; siblings, Ann Rapp of Cannon Falls, Tom (Linda) Coughlin of Cotopaxi, CO, Brian Coughlin (Dawn) of Brooklyn Park, Jane (Dave) Harty of Surprise, AZ, Carol Coughlin of Blooming Prairie, Charles (Amy) Coughlin of Maple Lake, John (Amy) Coughlin of Richfield, Joe Coughlin of Denver, CO and Peter (Dawn) Coughlin of Andover; brother-in-law, Kevin Bishop of Aurora, CO; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Coughlin; infant brother, Adrian; sister, Jennifer Bishop; nephew, Eric Harty and niece, Adrienne Coughlin.
