Ila Mae Judd, age 85 of Milaca, passed away July 1, 2025 at the Milaca Elim Nursing Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville, MN, with Rev. Matthew Langager officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Brennyville Church and funeral to be at 11:00 AM at the church. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home - Milaca.
Ila Mae Judd was born July 15, 1939, in Lakin Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to Leo and Mae (Kujawa) Brenny. She was one of 14 children. She married Maurice Judd on August 19, 1958, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Brennyville, and the couple had four daughters. Most important to Ila was her family and the special times spent with her four daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with her many friends that she would hang out with. To her, that meant a life well lived.
Ila loved cooking for her family at family events. She was also a quilter and quilted with the Brennyville ladies at the church. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her spare time, and making things for everyone.
She is survived by her children, Jacquelyn Lee, Jody Meyer (Bill), Gail Cain, Gwen Flaata (Greg); brothers and sisters, Leo Brenny (Judy), Severin Brenny (Carol), Laurell Brenny, Gertie Ronning and Maggie Novak (Chuck); sisters-in-law, Georgiann Brenny, Joane Rhoda; grandchildren, August, Amber, Heather, Trista, Jason, Jasmine, Tiffaney, Cassandra and Taylor and great-grandchildren, Parker K, Haven, Emmalyn, Parker Z, Lilly, Eva, Camden, Avery, Raelynn, Owen and Jace.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice, sisters, Rita, Madonna and Mary; brothers, Roger, Mark, Jim, Eugene, and Wilfred; sisters-in-law Ramona Brenny, Arlette Brenny, Jane Brenny, Betty Brenny, Betty Motschke; brothers-in-law Adam Novak, Marvin Ronning and Harry Rhoda; son-in-law, Mark Lee.
Ila will be remembered for her kind heart, bright smile, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all.
