Gladys Mae Stanley

Funeral services for Gladys Mae Stanley, age 84, of Milaca, will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

She was born June 7, 1933 to Fritz and Rose Broberg in Hayland Township. Gladys attended the Hayland Country School and graduated from Milaca High School. One of her cherished memories is playing the drums in the Milaca High School Band. On June 16, 1951, Gladys married Don Stanley from Princeton, MN. They had one daughter, Debby and three sons, Terry, David and Gary. The young couple made their home in the Twin Cities area, where Don was employed with Honeywell. In 1970, the family moved to the Milaca area, where Gladys lived up to the present time. Gladys enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, making maple syrup products and spending time with her family. Gladys passed away on Thursday February 2, 2018 at the Walker Methodist Memory Care.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; brother, Darwin and her parents, Fritz and Rose.

She is survived by her children, Terry Stanley of Miltona, Debby Stanley-Richter (Karl) of Andover, Dave Stanley (Ann) of Maple Grove and Gary Stanley of Rogers; one brother, Bob Broberg of McGregor; grandchildren, Dereck (Erin) Richter, Ryan Stanley, Kiersten (Nathan) Roscovius, Pete Stanley, Tyler Stanley, John Stanley, and Mark Stanley; one great-grandchild, Landon Richter; also by many other relatives and friends.
