Frank Jindra

April 11, 1941 — January 20, 2026

At the age of 84, Frank’s work here on Earth is done. On Tuesday, January 20th, 2026, Franklin Jindra Jr passed away peacefully in the home he and Joan built together. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 at 10 AM at St. Louis Bertrand Catholic Church in Foreston. Interment will follow at St. Louis Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Franklin was born on April 11, 1941, in St. Cloud, MN, to Franklin Sr and Leona (Leason) Jindra. He grew up in Foreston, MN, and attended primary school there and high school in Milaca, MN. He married the love of his life, Joan Kamrowski, in July 1964. They lived in Milaca for their first years of marriage, then moved to their farm in Foreston, where they raised hogs. He cleared many acres of woods and turned it into farmland. On the farm, Frank and Joan also raised their three children. Frank started Jindra’s Sewer Service in 1978, where he pumped septic tanks, cleaned sewer lines, and rented portable toilets.

Frank loved to travel; he and Joan visited all 50 states, enjoyed many bus tours, and took trips to the casino. He also enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, playing card games, and making metal art from scrap/junk from his family and friends to remember them by. Frank built many rock walls in his yard from rocks that he gathered from their farm just down the road. Frank was the type of man who would hop on his four-wheeler and go greet every new neighbor and visit with them. He also loved his kitties, Midget and Peanutbutter, very much.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan; his daughter Maria (Tim) Dietz of Foreston; his grandchildren, Dakota (Brad) Dietz of Becker, Tabitha (Pat) Dietz of Milaca, Emma (Levi) Dietz of Foreston, and Kendra (Mason) Dietz of Foreston; and his nine great-grandchildren, Kayleb, Cahner, Zander, Samuel, Olivia, Archer, Arrow, Noble, and Milah. He is also survived by his brother Ken (Darlene), his sister Jean, and his sons, Dale (Brenda) of Brainerd, and their children Courtney and Katelyn, and Paul (Pam) of Aitkin, and their children Dylan and Ellie; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Frank was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Joyce Kamrowski and Mary Lou White.

Frank’s family is grateful to all the staff and caregivers at the Gardens of Foley, as well as the compassionate hospice providers from Moments Hospice.
