Douglas John Rau

Douglas Rau, age 56, of Foreston, passed away April 6, 2021.  A public visitation will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.  A private family service will follow.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  

All attending the visitation will be required to wear masks.  Social distancing and facility capacity limits will be followed

Douglas John Rau was born February 5, 1965 to John and Rita (Vizenor) Rau in Santa Clara, California.  He worked at C&S Blacktopping for over 25 years.  Doug was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors.  He also loved cooking and grilling. 

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Rau (Danielle) of Buffalo, Minnesota and Jared (Alex) Rau of Milaca, Minnesota;  grandchildren, Brayden, Gavin and Maelynn;  mother, Rita Moeller (Leon);  brothers, Jack Rau (Stacie) and Bradley Rau (Jaime);  step-brothers, Dave Moeller (Bonnie), Mike Moeller (Becky);  step-sister, Gail Thorsbakkern;  also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John F. Rau;  brother, Randy and infant sister, Jodi.
