Dorothy Sienko was born December 24, 1927, in Gilman Township to Frank and Helen (Helmin) Cielinski and passed to her eternal rest on June 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.
She married Ted Sienko on April 21, 1952 at St. Peter’s and Paul Catholic Church in Gilman, Minnesota. She was a caring, loving, and wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother devoting herself to her family. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she was one of the last charter members. She was also active in St. Mary’s Guild, Crosier Apostolate, and a lifetime member at the Milaca Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children Kevin of Dalbo, Karen of Merrifield, and Cheryl (Jr.) Albertson of Milaca; grandchildren Shane (Katie) Sienko of Circle Pines, Stephanie (Bryan) Kula of Becker, Dallas (Andrea) Albertson of Big Lake, Jason (Laura) Bye of Merrifield, Jessica (Dean) Longhurst of Australia; great-grandchildren Lucas Bye, Cole Bye, Harrison Kula, Hendrix Kula, Adelaide Albertson, and Millie Longhurst.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted; daughter Pamela; sons-in-law Cato Manifold and Randy Bye; her parents and siblings Pauline, Gregory, and Alphonse.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Milaca Elim Meadows, Milaca Elim Home, Princeton Elim Home Memory Care, and Triniti Hospice. They gave her the most loving care during her stay with them and will hold a special place in the family’s hearts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 10 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milaca. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, June 23, 2025 from 4 - 7 PM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca with a rosary service at 6:45 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
