Dorothy Scott

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Warman Chapel, 15 miles north of Mora on Highway 65, with Pastor Nick Skogan officiating. Visitation will be before the funeral at 10:00 am, and a lunch will be provided after the funeral. Interment will follow at Opstead Baptist Cemetery north of Isle. 

Dorothy Mae Scott was born on March 5, 1937, in Haybrook Township. Dorothy was united in marriage to John Scott on August 13, 1955. They lived and worked in the Twin Cities area until 1962 when John and Dorothy purchased a farm in Haybrook Township. Dorothy loved to garden, quilt, cook, and spend time with her grandchildren. 

Dorothy is survived by son, Rodney (Teresa) Scott of Isle; daughter, Linda (David) Goldsmith of Isle; grandchildren, Jessica (Travis) Erickson, John Becker, and Kelly (Jacob) Friday; great-grandchildren, Hayley and Grayson Erickson, and Weston Friday; sister, Jewel (Howard) Werner of Willmar; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Scott; parents, Angmar and Myrtle Peterson; brother, Jordon Peterson; infant brother, Loren Lee Peterson; and sisters, Joyce Strunge and Jeraine Futrell.
