Donald Lawrence Skogman

Donald Lawrence Skogman, age 82, of Onamia passed away January 01, 2018 at the Princeton Elim Home. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Donald was born May 01, 1935 in Ogilvie, Minnesota to Anton and Amanda Skogman. He grew up in Ogilvie and graduated from Ogilvie High School in 1953. On July 18, 1954 he was united in marriage to Beverly Bailey at Lewis Lake Covenant Church. Don and Beverly lived in Minneapolis for six years then moved to Milaca where Don worked for the Village of Milaca for six years. In 1963, they moved to Minneapolis where Don worked for the Metropolitan Transit Company for 25 years. They retired to their home in Onamia.

Don enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, bowling, camping, traveling, and woodworking.

Don is survived by his wife Beverly Skogman; children, Debbie (Randy) Larson, Ricki Skogman, and Dawn (Bud) Schulte; grandchildren, Angie and Kraig Karger, Nick and Katie Skogman, Kyle Skogman, Kaylee Skogman, Mitchell Skogman, Mariel Skogman, Duston Schulte, and Rachael Schulte; great grandchildren, Austin and Dylan Karger, Lily Skogman, and Kaydon McMullen.

He is preceded in death by his son, Randy Skogman, grandson, Travis Skogman, parents, brothers and sisters.
