Brent M. Swanson

A Mass of Christian Burial for Brent Swanson, age 73, of Hugo, will be held Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Saint Louis Catholic Church in Foreston at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.  Interment will take place in the Saint Louis Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Little Sisters of the Poor.

Brent Michael Swanson was born June 13, 1945 to Lester and Lois (Nelson) Swanson in Milaca, Minnesota. He graduated from Milaca High School in 1963.  He married Darlene Patnode and they had four children.  Brent drove truck for Wayne Transport for many years.  He also worked in construction in Phoenix, Arizona.  He married Barbara Stromwall in 1997.  He was a faithful Catholic and was very generous to many charitable organizations.

He was an avid reader and loved to work out at the gym lifting weights.  He loved his family, children, and grandchildren.

Brent is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Conrad (Amy) Swanson of Arizona, Justine (Jason) Nortell of Indiana, and Bret (Lori) Swanson of Aitkin; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Sheldon.
