Bev was born to Edmund and Rosabelle (Berthiaume) Laurent in 1932. She was the seventh of eight children. In her early years she lived on the family farm in Corcoran. Her family later moved to Minneapolis where she graduated from North High School. She married Roy Walden in 1952 and they had five children. Bev was a devoted mother and homemaker and also cared for a total of 52 foster babies during those years. She later started a career with Tupperware where she worked her way up to District Manager.
Bev married Glen (Bud) Christensen in 1980 and they lived in Milaca on a hobby farm. They later divorced and Bev then married Eddie Manthie in 2000.
Bev had a true love for the outdoors and enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. She loved to dance, especially the polka, and helped organize the local dance community. She took great interest in her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her faith in Christ was strong and she had a true love for the Lord. She often remarked in her later years that she was not afraid of death. She knew where her true home was. She was faithful in prayer and prayed for others on a regular basis.
She is survived by her children Daniel (Rebecca) Walden, Denise Nelson, Jeffery (Donna) Walden, Therese (Wayne) Logeais, and Gary (Gail) Walden and grandchildren Jason, Alisha, Justin, Jeremy, Brittany and step-granddaughter Jill. She also had nine great grandchildren: Lydia, Meredith, Victoria, Parker, Austin, Christian, Amelia, Emma, Adelyn and four step-great grandchildren: Emma, Matthew, Emma, and Leah.
She is also survived by her sister Elaine Weir.
Bev is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, two brothers; husband Eddie Manthie, and son-in-law Paul Nelson.
