Beatrice Kiel

Funeral services for Beatrice Kiel, age 75, will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11 AM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church.  Interment will follow at Estes Brook Cemetery.  Visitation will take place from 9 -11 AM at the church on Saturday.

Bea married Wayne Kiel on December 22, 1967 and was later divorced in February of 1998. They had three children Wendy, John,and Sandra.

Bea worked in the Elim Home in Milaca and Cambridge State Hospital in the brown house caring for terminally ill teenagers. Bea had many hobbies and passions. She loved to visit with family and friends, doing crafts (needlepoint, crocheting, knitting, painting, stained glass and jewelry), doing puzzles and traveling. Her favorite trip was one to Sweden.

Bea faced many struggles with her health. She had Cervical, Breast, Multiple Myeloma and Skin Cancer. She remained strong in her faith despite those struggles. Her battle with Multiple Myeloma ended after 19 years on August 8, 2023. She will be deeply missed by family, friends and everyone whose life she touched. 

Bea is survived by her children, Wendy (Joe) Jurgensen, John (Michelle) Kiel, Sandra Kiel (Greg) Louison, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, sister, Dolores (David) Huanca, brothers, Waldo (Judy) Johnson and Harvey Johnson, sister-in-law, Mary Johnson, , also by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews,

She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Delia, parents-in-law, Merenus, Gertrude Kiel, brother, Leroy and daughter-in-law, Melissa Kiel, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephew.
