Aretta Fae Jenson

Aretta (Knochenmus) Jenson, age 85, of Maple Grove, formerly of Milaca, passed away October 10, 2017. Burial will be at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery near Princeton. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Milaca Evangelical Free Church. Aretta was born to Edward and Beatrice Knochenmus in Milaca, MN on July 21, 1932. She was the sixth of ten children. Aretta graduated from Milaca High School in 1950. She first saw Vern across a crowded room at the Alphon Lindstrom farm during a joint youth event between the Milaca Evangelical Free Church and the Country Church in Glendorado. Vern says it was love at first sight, but Aretta needed a little convincing. The rest is history.  They were married on April 19, 1952 and had three children. Their first home was a trailer on the Jenson family farm in Glendorado, MN. From that starting point until her final residence in Arbor Lakes Senior Living in Maple Grove, MN they lived in 23 different places. Aretta worked in various clerical and executive administrative positions throughout her life. She was a hard-working and industrious woman who loved her Lord Jesus Christ and her family very much. Aretta also loved to play the piano and many games. She is remembered by husband, Vernon; three children, Terry Jenson, Colorado Springs, CO, Sheryl (Dan) Kauphusman, Winona, MN and Tom (Laurel) Jenson, Maple Grove, MN; eight grandchildren, Jeremiah (Dana) Jenson, Christian (Dana) Kauphusman, Anne (Mike) Begley, Carrie Johnson, Ryan (Holly) Jenson, Peter (Heather) Jenson, Eric (Erica) Jenson, and Marc (Krystal) Jenson twenty-three, great-grandchildren Tessa, Colton, Molly, Emily, Ellie, Enjoli, Joseph, Jaden, Aleah, Abby, Ryleigh, Walker, Carli, Daniel, Claire, Teagan, Chase, Bryn, Zayden, Avery, Charlotte, Benjamin, and Mayla; four siblings, Darwin (Linda) Knochenmus, Sharon (Ben) Drabant, Wanda Hawkins, and Lyle Knochenmus; also by many other relatives and friends. Aretta is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Beatrice and siblings Edward Jr, Naomi, B. Gale, Delores, and Lary.
