Alice Josephine Villnow

Funeral services for Alice Villnow, age 91, will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca.  Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.  Interment will take place Monday, November 22, 2021 at 10 AM at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.  Alice passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.

Alice Josephine Villnow was born April 1, 1930 to Lena and C.W. “Bill” Peterson.  She grew up on a dairy farm in rural Milaca.  She graduated from Milaca High School in June of 1947.  She went on to Practical Nursing School in St. Paul, graduating in June of 1949.  She worked at the Princeton Hospital until she married Harold Villnow on September 17, 1949 in Princeton. They dairy farmed in the Milaca area for sixty years.

Alice enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, games, puzzles, fishing, embroidery and reading.

She passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.

She is survived by children, Vandon (Elizabeth) Villnow of Tower, Loren (Susan) Villnow of Deer River, Lori (Leroy) Herrboldt of Elk River, Margaret (Gene) Packard of Princeton, Thomas (Charlotte) Villnow of Clear Lake, Judy Secord of Zimmerman, Kenneth Villnow of Milaca, and Karen Broehl of Mora; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Sandra Villnow of Pierz;  also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Harold; son, Harold;  grandchildren, Jesse Villnow, Christopher Villnow and Joseph Villnow.
