Erland Lewis Yatckoske

Funeral services for Erland Yatckoske, age 88, of Pierz, will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10 AM at Milaca Alliance Church with Rev. Don Smith officiating.  Interment will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery near Morrill.  Visitation will be from 4 - 7 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Erland Lewis Yatckoske was born November 24, 1927 to Orvin and Cresence (Dahmen) Yatckoske. He grew up attending a one room school house near Buckman, MN.  He served in the US Army and was stationed in San Antonio, TX. Erland was united in marriage to Coleen Presler on January 10, 1953. Erland worked as a farmer his entire life. He was a member of the Milaca Alliance Church where he served as an usher. Erland loved traveling with his wife, Coleen and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading and the beach. He passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at his home. He is survived by his children, Shelly (Larry) Gentry of Gleneden Beach, OR, Ronnie of Pierz, Patti (Dave) DeMarais-Kirscht of Pierz, Dede (Rocco) Moren of Coon Rapids, Erland (Dean) of Milaca and Jeanne (Terry) Lamp of Vancouver, WA; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene and Dolores; brother, Orvin, Jr. also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Coleen; son, Allan and brothers, Melvin and Roland.
