Funeral services for Clifford L. Hatch, age 94, of Brainerd, will be held Monday, November 14 at 12 PM at Zion Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Stephen Blenkush officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. His children and grandson will service as casketbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Clifford Lincoln Hatch was born November 10, 1921 in Granite Ledge Township, Minnesota to Arthur and May (Fredyk) Hatch. He grew up and attended school in the Milaca area. He served in the Army during World War II and received numerous medals for his service, including the Bronze Star. He married Grace C. Johnson on June 7, 1947 in Milaca, and they were married for 63 years before Grace passed away December 23, 2010. Through their married life they made their homes in Milaca, Coon Rapids, Longville, Backus, Cross Lake and Brainerd. They also spent many winters in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. He enjoyed bingo, fishing, traveling, dancing, and entertaining family and friends. He will be remembered as a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather and for his wonderful sense of humor. He died while residing at the Harmony House in Brainerd on November 9, 2016, one day before his 95th birthday. He is survived by sons; Wayne “Bud” (Elizabeth) of Chaska, MN, Danny (Janna) of Navarre Beach, FL, Richard and Johnny of Ramsey, MN and David of Burnsville, MN; daughter, Donna Larson Hatch of Brainerd, MN; 13 grandchildren, Laurie, Keith, Dan Jr., Jesse, Tianna, Shawn, Alicia, Jeremy, Justin, Amanda, Andrea, Jennifer and Destinee; 9 great-grandchildren, Destiny, Reign, Faith, Grace, Luke, Samuel, Dakota, Damien, Mackenzie; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and granddaughter, Shawnna Lee Hatch at the age of 5 weeks.
