Funeral services for Jeanette Phillips, age 94, of Isle, formerly on Milaca, will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 2 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Schaekel officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday. Jeanette Faith Phillips was born June 17, 1922 to John and Julia Swanson in Borgholm Township, Mille Lacs County. She was baptized at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in 1922 and confirmed there in 1949. She attended and graduated from District 25, Hayland Township and graduated from Milaca High School in 1939. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Milaca for several years. During World War II, she was employed at a defense plant in Dayton, Ohio; later working at Northwestern Bell again in Milaca. She was united in marriage to Wesley Phillips on May 16, 1943. They had 2 sons, Lee and Tom. Jeanette was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Milaca for many years.Jeanette passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at Scandia House in Isle. She is survived by son, Tom and wife Nelle of Isle; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wesley; son, Lee; granddaughter, Sara; brother, Lester; sisters, Marian Randall, Alice Bynum, twin sisters, June Koch, and Joyce Hubbard; three nieces, and one nephew.
