Terry Joseph DeShaw

Mass of Christian Burial for Terry DeShaw, age 45, of Milaca, will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milaca with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, OSC officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 PM Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Terry passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Cloud Hospital.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Taylor DeShaw Education Fund at Spire Credit Union in Milaca. Terry Joseph DeShaw was born October 30, 1970 to Don and Margie (Steger) DeShaw in Manchester, Iowa. He moved to Milaca with his parents in 1981. Terry graduated from Milaca High School in 1989, where he played football, baseball, and basketball. He was united in marriage to Cathy Orth on September 20, 2008. Terry worked at Bauerly Brothers, Aztech, Rum River Asphalt, and Hard Drives. Terry enjoyed hunting, ice fishing, weekends at the cabin and watching Taylor grow up and play sports. He loved playing Rummy 500 with his mom, spending time with Cathy, time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Taylor; parents; Don and Margie DeShaw; sister, Nancy (Lonnie) Hoffbeck and their daughter, Tanna; sister, Sherry (Doug) DeBoer and their children, Lydia and Charlie; father-in-law, Ron Orth;  brother-in-law, Mark (Laura) Orth and their children, Angel, Annie and Steven; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cornelius and Irma Steger and Perry and Regina DeShaw and special friends, Amy Hoglund and Raymond Larsen.
