Delores Darlene Adema was born December 14, 1928 in Minneapolis to Edward and Beatrice Knochenmus and grew up in the Milaca area. Delores worked at Dayton’s in Minneapolis and on March 20, 1949 she married Ted Adema. Ted and Delores owned the Dutch Mill Café in Pease, MN for two years. Together, they owned and operated Ted’s New and Used Steel for many years. Delores loved to crochet and make afghans for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active bowler and also loved watching the Twins and Vikings whenever she could. She loved to stay busy and enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, word finds and was always up for a lively game of Rook. Her love for traveling allowed her numerous adventures throughout the years. Delores attended the Milaca Free Church, Cross of Life Church in Princeton, and First Baptist Church in Milaca and was an active member in each of her church communities. More than anything else Delores loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and she longed for the day that she would see Him face to face. She will be missed greatly, and loved forever.
She was preceded in death by husband, Ted, brother, Gale, and granddaughter, Heidi. Delores is survived by her four children, Darlene (James) Monroe of Elk River, Judy (Curt) Belair of Milaca, Tim (Robin) Adema of Fayetteville NC, Nancy (Chris) Overacker of Colorado, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and many other family members and friends.
