Diane F. Schafer

Diane passed away peacefully with her loving husband of 34 years by her side after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Milaca Elim Home. At her request, no services will be held. Diane Frances Schafer was born November 14, 1943 to Adrian “Bud” and Virginia (Rosener) Brose in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She grew up in North Minneapolis. She was united in marriage to Dwain Schafer on November 24, 1981. The couple resided in Cambridge and later moved to Stanhope, Iowa, where Diane was self-employed. They moved to Milaca in 2006 and she worked at Coborn’s in Princeton. Diane enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, and flower gardening. She was also a fantastic cook, baker, and was very hard working. She loved her pet dogs, Quincy and Tasha. She is survived by her husband, Dwain; daughter, Tina Pfleeger; son, Troy (Kristie) Peckels; grandchildren, Andrew and Amanda; sister, Barb (Jerry) Minear; also by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Karen.
