A memorial gathering for Alma Chalberg, age 84, of Milaca, will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1 PM at her residence, 14791 130th Avenue, Milaca, Minnesota, 56353.
Alma Irene Chalberg was born September 10, 1931 in Avon, Minnesota to John and Florence (Jakobek) Raden. Alma lived in Elk River from 1958 until 1970. She then moved her family to Milaca and started a farm. She raised cows, pigs, chickens, and horses. She finished raising her seven children and watched the grandchildren and great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren come into the world. She loved horses, farming, raising her milk cows, goats, pigs, and chickens. She also enjoyed auctions, playing the harmonica and accordion, and family get togethers. She loved her dogs and cats.
She worked at the Arsenal in Anoka County and at Dezuricks in Sartell. She was a hard working woman and enjoyed life.
Alma always helped everyone out so that everyone had a place to stay and food to eat. She was a very loving and caring person.
Alma passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her residence near Milaca.
She is survived by her children, Jerold (Connie) Eisenschenk,, Louise Baumgartner, Nathan Chalberg, Audrey Chalberg, Gordon (Jodi) Chalberg, and Muriel Chalberg; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ed Raden, Jeanette Franklin, and Patricia Michaelic; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Eisenschenk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, son, Dennis Eisenschenk, grandson, Joe Chalberg, great-great granddaughter, Natilie Mandolia; brother, Richard Raden; son-in-law, John Baumgartner, and daughter-in-law, Roxanne Chalberg.
She will be missed by all, and always loved.
