Leila Myrtle Sivanich

Leila Myrtle Sivanich went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2016. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11 AM at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. She was born to William and Annie Myrtle (Smallwood) Barnes on April 7, 1934 in Bradbury Township, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. Her childhood years were spent in the Milaca and Onamia areas. She graduated from Onamia High School in 1952. She lived in the Twin Cities for many years working in the insurance field. Leila was united in marriage to Wally Sivanich on December 30, 1982. Leila and Wally moved to Cambridge in 2002. Leila moved to Elmhurst Commons in Braham in 2004. In November 2011, she moved to the Milaca Elim Home. She was a charter member of Grace Free Church in Fridley. Leila is survived by her brother, Melvin (Annette) Barnes of Springfield, OR and sister, Doris Barnes of Mora, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wally on June 22, 2003; brothers, Ralph and Donald; sisters, Marian, Marlys, Arleen, and infant sister; nephew, Mike.
