Carla Mae Ranem

Funeral services for Carla Mae Ranem, age 77, of Milaca, will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Interment will follow at Wendell Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Animal Humane Society or the Epilepsy Foundation. Carla M. Ranem was born September 20, 1938 to Carl and Frances Mae (Hiljus) Ranem at Bogus Brook Township, Mille Lacs County, MN. She grew in the Milaca area and graduated from Milaca High School. Carla lived in Mounds View for over 30 years. Carla was an animal lover, especially her cats. She also enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, reading, and playing cards and games. Carla passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Princeton Elim Home. She is survived by her sister, Janis Ledeen of Milaca; brother-in-law, Reuben Peterson of Spring Lake Park; also by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Junis Peterson; infant brothers, Patrick and Michael and companion, Jerry “Joner” Johnson.
