Brenda Faye Lindgren

Funeral service for Brenda Lindgren, age 65, of Milaca, formerly of Chaska, will be held on Tuesday, November 18th at 11 AM at Milaca Alliance Church with Pastor Peter Dorn officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Brenda Faye Lindgren was born January 15, 1949 to Orman and Beverly (Austin) Schmelzer in Brainerd, MN. Brenda grew up in Hibbing and graduated from Hibbing High School in 1967. She later earned nursing degree at Hibbing Junior College and a missionary degree at Canadian Bible College in Regina. Brenda served as a missionary in Vietnam and worked as a nurse at many different locations. She passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Milaca Elim Home. She is survived by her husband, Ted; son, Samuel (Justina) Lindgren of Sauk Rapids; siblings, Sandra (Patrick) Welsh, Lonny (Sandy) Schmelzer, Arvid (Shelley) Schmelzer and Todd (Kelly) Schmelzer; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Orman Schmelzer, Jr. and nephew, Jeremy Schmelzer.
