Jane Ann Nelson

Memorial service for Jane Nelson, age 84 of Milaca, will be held on Thursday, November 6th at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. Tim Bauer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church Piano Fund or Country Meadows Assisted Living. Jane Ann Nelson was born November 26, 1929 to Cecil and Ethel (Edington) McCune in Osseo, WI. She grew up near Osseo, WI and later graduated from Abbott Nursing School in 1949. Jane was united in marriage to Howard Nelson on June 17, 1949 at the Congregational Church in Osseo, WI. They made their home in Milaca and Jane worked at the Milaca Hospital and the Keith Clinic until her retirement in 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Eastern Star and the Milaca Legion Auxiliary. She passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Milaca Elim Home She is survived by daughters, Nancy Greenfield of Denver, CO and Mary (Gilford) Sundeen of Brooklyn Center, MN; grandchildren, Benjamin Sundeen, Blake Sundeen, Britta (Rick) Walstrom, Jennifer (John) Ertelt and Heather (Buster) Arbaney; great-grandchildren, Abigail, Olivia, Isabel, Annalise and Cameron; cousins, Beverly Bartz and Bobbie Barrett; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard in 2011.
