Judy Kay Alfords

A Celebration of Life for Judy Alfords, age 72, of Milaca, will be held on Wednesday, September 17th at 1 PM at the Estes Brook Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Wes Macy officiating. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday at the Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Interment will take place at the Svea Hill Cemetery near Zimmerman on Wednesday, September 17th at 10:30 AM. Judy Kay Alfords was born April 13, 1942 in Milaca, MN to Barney and Beatrice (Kiel) Bouma. She graduated from Milaca High School in 1961. Judy married Gerald Alfords on April 11, 1964 at the Estes Brook Free Church. They raised their family in rural Elk River until 1978, when they moved to a farm near Milaca. Judy enjoyed working with her flowers, fishing, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She passed away on Friday, September 12th at St. Cloud Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; children, Perry (Susan) Alfords of Deerwood, MN and Brenda (Dave) Santelman of Savage, MN; grandchildren, Cassie and John Santelman; brothers, Jim (Carol) Bouma and Gary Bouma; sisters, Pat Martin, Bonnie Milberger and Linda Larson; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
