Marian Faye Bemis

Memorial service for Marian Bemis, age 80, of Princeton, will be held Saturday, April 12th at 2 PM at the Princeton Elim Home Chapel with Pastor Dan Osborn officiating. Interment will take place at Milo Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel on Saturday. Marian Faye Bemis was born May 21, 1933 in Princeton, MN to Charles and Helen (Johnson) Bemis. Marian was the oldest of five children and grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Milaca High School. Marian worked for twenty years as a housekeeper at Milaca Elim Home. She also worked for an insurance company in Minneapolis and as a Public Health Nurse for Mille Lacs County. Marian enjoyed her quiet life, living on the farm and caring for her cats. Marian always had a positive outlook on life and will be remembered as a fun person, often smiling and laughing. She passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 in Princeton. She is survived by her brothers, Jim Bemis of Milaca, Bill Bemis of Clinton, MO, Curt (Elesha) Bemis of Oak Park and Steve (Mary) Bemis of Foreston; sister-in-law, Lynae Bemis of Milaca; also by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Esther Bemis.
