Donald Vernon Hardy

Funeral service for Donald Hardy, age 78, of Crystal, will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at 2 PM at Milaca Evangelical Free Church with Rev. Mike Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Donald Vernon Hardy was born July 23, 1935 to Emil and Elma (Salmela) Hardy at Milaca, MN.  He was united in marriage to Carol Henry in 1964 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm and they made their home in Crystal, MN.  Donald worked for many years as a cement mason. He enjoyed nature, bird watching and country music.  He passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Country Manor in Sartell. He is survived by sisters, Gladys Payne, Lorraine Lundstrom, Jane Totzke and Millie Bourgeois;  brothers, Melvin Hardy and Robert Hardy;  also by many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol;  brothers, Clarence, Lawrence, Raymond, Bill and Jim Hardy;  sisters, Violet Larsen, Lillian Hamm, Evelyn Stark, Rose Antle and infant, Mabel.
