Vicki Lynn Visser

Funeral service for Vicki Visser, age 50, of Milaca, will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 10 AM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Milaca with Rev. David Hahn officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM on Tuesday at Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Vicki Lynn Visser was born July 3, 1963 to Leroy and Carol Mae (Cronk) Uecker in Gaylord, MN. She grew up in Gaylord and graduated from Gaylord High School in 1981. She went on to attend the Minnesota School of Business. Vicki then worked at Airway Products, where she met Doug Visser. They were married on June 24, 1989 and they made their home in the Milaca area. Vicki worked for many years at the Hi Way Cafe in Milaca. She was a casino regular and enjoyed going to Red Lobster with her family on special occasions. She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, sodoku, collecting movies, and four wheeling with her family. Vicki loved spending time with Doug, her kids, granddaughter, Trista and her sisters. She passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. She is survived by husband, Doug; children, Michael (Danielle) Schummer of Princeton, Angela Schummer and Eric Hansen of Sauk Rapids and Ashley Visser and Andrew Hanenburg of Foley; granddaughter, Trista Schummer; sisters, Cheryl (Mike) Heidinger of Elk River, MN, Jeannine (Jim) Wills of Mapleton, MN and Lori (Kevin) Torgerson of Stewartville, MN; also by many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Carol Mae and nephew, Dustin Visser.
