Charles Anthony Vraa

Charles Vraa, age 53, of Mora, passed away on Wednesday, December 18 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 1 PM at the Milaca Elim Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Sahlstrom officiating. Charles Anthony Vraa was born in Hibbing, MN on April 24, 1960. He lived in rural Nashwauk for years, where he was known as a very caring person who loved his friends and family. For the last thirty years, Chuck lived in Mora. Chuck was a dedicated gardener, who was proud of his vegetables, grapes and fruit trees. He enjoyed helping Gina can vegetables in the fall. He loved camping, hunting and fishing. Chuck has a great sense of humor and always had a joke or story to tell. Everyone was welcome in his home and he was eager to lend a helping hand when needed. He loved his wife, Gina and family very much. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Orin Vraa; mother, Helen Vraa and sister, Valerie Vraa all from rural Nashwauk. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Gina; two stepsons, Dusty and Cody; son, Charles “Charlie”; daughter, Wendy Lynn and one granddaughter, Sidney; siblings, Carol Meyer, Nancy Mathison, Gayle Mathison and Paul Vraa, all of whom miss him dearly.
