Orin and Stella (Grote) Hulett. He graduated from Milaca High School in 1943. Bob served his country in the US Army at the end of WWII and was stationed in Japan. When he returned from the service, he joined a power line company and worked in South Dakota. This is where he met Arileen Fuhrer. She worked at the hotel where Bob and his crew stayed. Arileen cooked him supper and did his laundry and Bob knew “that little dolly should be his wife.” They were married on August 30, 1948 in Gregory, SD and they then moved back to Minnesota. Bob and Arileen shared 59 wonderful years together. Bob owned and operated Bob’s East Side Salvage for many years. Bob was also an auctioneer and taught Auto Mechanics for a year at Milaca High School. He was a life member of the Hansen-Hayes American Legion in Milaca and a 50 years member of the Masonic Lodge. After retirement, Bob spent nineteen winters in Arizona with Arileen and three more in recent years. Bob passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Fairview Northland Regional Hospital in Princeton. He is survived by brother, George (Donna) Hulett; sister, Cleo Jensen; nephews, John (Carol) Hulett, Gary Hulett and Donny Jensen. Bob will also be sadly missed by special friend, Audrey Batty and many others including Karen Aguilera, Chuck and Linda Andrews and his “little buddy”, Wes Dunker. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Arileen.
