Larry Eugene Striker

Memorial service for Larry Striker, age 63, of Foley, will be held at 11 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church near Princeton with Rev. Barb Peterson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Larry Eugene Striker was born May 15, 1950 to Thomas and DeLoris (Dittrich) Striker in Burwell, Nebraska. He moved to Minnesota in 1967 and graduated from Milaca High School in 1969. He worked at Control Data for many years. He then worked construction after that. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering with things. Larry also enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandson, Jakob. Larry passed away Wednesday, September 04, 2013 at the Foley Nursing Center. He is survived by his son, Douglas (Vanessa Rakow) of Saint Cloud; daughters, DeAnn (Josh Philippi) of Sauk Rapids and Kristi Striker of Minneapolis; grandson, Jakob Jordan; sisters, Bonnie Meyer of Foley and Peggy (John) Holewa of Hillman; brothers, Bill of Kileen, Texas and Scott of Foreston; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann in 2012; and sister, Karen.
