Pearl Koppendrayer

Funeral services for Pearl Koppendrayer, age 95, of Princeton, will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Arlan Koppendrayer officiating. Interment will follow at the Pease Cemetery. Casketbearers will include Bruce DeVries, Harlan Koppendrayer, Randy Nelson, Scott Koppendrayer, Troy Bouma, Daren Koppendrayer, Joshua Wergin and Nathaniel Koppendrayer, Pearl was born on December 29, 1917 to Fred and Flora DeVries in Pipestone, MN. She married Jake Koppendrayer on February 2, 1938 in her parent’s home in Milaca. Jake and Pearl had twelve children. They moved to the family farm in 1944, where Pearl worked alongside her husband. In 1959 she began working for Fingerhut manufacturing and was employed there for the next 20 years. Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, machine embroidery, bowling, traveling and going to breakfast with her friends. Pearl especially enjoyed serving in and attending the Gideon’s Auxiliary, Coffee Break Bible Study, Mission Society, Ladies Aide and nearly every Church activity. Pearl was a faithful member of the Christian Reformed Church her whole life and charter member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Princeton. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Jake, 4 brothers, 1 sister, an infant son, one grandson, 1 son-in-law and 1 grand son-in-law. She is survived by her children: Fran (John) DeVries of Lowell, MI., LeRoy (Carolyn) Koppendrayer of Princeton, MN., Loni (Don) Knase of Coon Rapids, MN., Marian (Denny) Beier of Ogilvie, MN., Roger (Nancy) Koppendrayer of Isanti, MN., Pat (Dave) Gorham of Princeton, MN., Cindy (Dick) Schmatz of Princeton, MN., Betsy (Richard) Wergin of Princeton, MN., Charlotte DeKraker of Princeton, MN., Kevin (Mary) Koppendrayer of Princeton, MN., Arlan (Susan) Koppendrayer of Minnetonka, MN. 32 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren plus 3 expected, 25 step great grandchildren and 4 step great, great grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Kok, Joyce Kiel, and brother-in-law Lawerence Kiel all of Milaca, MN.
