Memorial services for Lyle Busch, age 82, of Milaca, will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Milaca with Fr. Jim Remmerswaal, OSC officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Milaca. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Military honors will be provided by Hansen-Hayes American Legion Post #178 & Siemers-Hakes VFW Post #10794. Music will be provided by Edie Lesnick and the St. Mary’s Choir. Lyle’s grandchildren will serve at honorary pallbearers. Arr. Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home of Milaca. Lyle Herman Busch was born November 25, 1930 in Lake City, MN to Clarence and Florence (Prigge) Busch. He graduated from Rushford High School. Lyle was united in marriage to Nona Johnson on January 21, 1950. Throughout the years, Lyle worked at Trane Company in LaCrosse, WI, Cornelius Company in Anoka and FMC Corporation in Fridley. After retirement, Lyle and Nona moved to the Milaca area in 1990. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, gardening, bowling and bird watching. He enjoyed spending time at a seasonal trailer on Fish Trap Lake. Lyle very much enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Milaca Elim Home. He is survived by his wife, Nona; daughters, Barbara (John) Steffenson of Onamia, Sandra (Keith) Hawkinson of Andover, Janet (Eric) Paulsen of Plymouth and Terri (Tom) Kerber of St. Cloud; sons, James of Elk River and Brian of Milaca; grandchildren, Christopher (Christie) Steffenson of Milaca, Cade (Becky) Steffenson of Onamia, Eric Hawkinson of Andover, Nicholas Hawkinson of Blaine, Emily Kerber of St. Cloud and Michael Kerber of St. Cloud; great-grandchildren, Logan, Hailey, Fletcher and Charlie Ann; siblings, Alvina (Gene) Baylow of Lake City, MN and Bill (Barb) Busch of Waukegan, IL; also by many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Bernice Nichols and infant son, Joseph.
